Green in the City Launch | Thursday, November 10th, drop-in from 3:00-8:00pm at London Public Library, Masonville Branch
New for 2022 and 2023! After 2 years of hosting these events online we are happy to be back in person, and looking forward to taking this popular series across the city to various London Public Library locations!
Meet neighbours, learn about local initiatives, and connect with other people interested in a more sustainable community.
We hope you can join us for this year's first Green in the City event about urban agriculture, local food, and food availability.
The cost and variety of food we eat is already being impacted by climate change. In response, growing your own food at home or through community garden provides new opportunities for urban agriculture. Buying foods grown or produced locally also helps reduce greenhouse gas emission caused by food production and transportation.
Green Drinks | 6-8pm
Join us for a special free Green Drinks networking event beginning at 6:00pm followed by short presentations at 6:30pm. Snacks and drinks will be available!
Featuring presentations from:
- Gabor Sass, The PATCH
- Richie Bloomfield, Urban Roots London
- Jessica Cordes, Middlesex London Food Policy Council
Please register through Eventbrite by clicking here!
And stay tuned for the other upcoming Green in the City dates, locations and themes!
