Where Online Event London, ON, Canada

This webinar will teach you about the London Environmental Network, an umbrella organization that builds participation, collaboration, and capacity in our community to co-create positive environmental change. In this webinar you will learn about our environmental programs that help organizations and residents improve their environmental footprint.

We will also show you how to find a volunteer position in the environmental sector that fits your skills and needs.

We will have four guest speakers from vastly different backgrounds who will share how to get involved with their organization and typical volunteer roles. We encourage you to use this workshop as a networking opportunity to introduce yourself while asking the speakers questions.

Speakers include:

Rebecca Launchbury from Thames Talbot Land Trust an organization that protects environmentally significant lands through acquisition, conservation easements, landscape restoration and education.

Kelsey Nicholls from ReForest London, a tree planting organization with the mission to plant, grow and sustain London’s urban forest by engaging the community.

Nicole Winter from Let’s Talk Science, a STEM education organization that helps youth learn to take risks, develop the persistence to find innovative solutions to real world problems.

Richie Bloomfield from Urban Roots London, an organic urban agriculture non-profit organization that is committed to growing fresh vegetables for those who may not otherwise be able to enjoy them.

Finally we will be showcasing educational environmental resources that will help you build your knowledge and resume. If you love science, nature, gardening, or anything else environmental, consider volunteering in London!
