Description: The goal of this project is to implement bus-only lanes, new sidewalks, active transportation infrastructure, and urban design improvements. The goal is to provide frequent, reliable, higher-order transit. This project will coincide with necessary underground improvements to make our infrastructure more climate change resilient. This project would also improve current bus shelters and add additional ones with real-time schedule updates.

Business Case #P-52 - Zero-Emission Bus Transition (pg. 653-658)

Description: London currently has 231 buses, 223 are diesel and 8 hybrid. This business case supports the acquisition of new zero-emission buses (in 2026-2033) and their charging infrastructure to eventually replace the current diesel buses. As well as the purchase of more hybrid buses (in 2024-2025).
