About the Webinar:

Brendon helped to draft the wildlife friendly buildings criteria for Green Economy London. This presentation will focus on the ecological aspects of managing sustainable buildings and properties in London. In his presentation, Brendon will give an overview of the criteria, describe common sources of conflict for wildlife in the built environment, risk factors for different types of buildings and examples of simple solutions for issues. Brendon will also discuss methods for encouraging behavioural changes by building occupants to reduce the risk of conflicts.

Featured Speaker:

Brendon Samuels is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology at Western University and the coordinator for the London Bird Team. Brendon carries out environmental monitoring around buildings in London as part of his doctoral research. Brendon has consulted with numerous several property owners in London about mitigating conflicts between buildings and wildlife. In his free time, Brendon volunteers for organizations in London's environmental sector.
