In this video we will learn about Glen Cairn Community Resource Centre's Food For All, a food upcycling project. With this program, they are able to process the donated food that is soon to perish into things such as prepared meals, soups, smoothies, and juices; thus prolonging its shelf life, and in turn further distribute it to those that need it.
LOLA Bees: Pollinator Pals
In this video we will learn about LOLA Bees and Pollinator Pals, a youth-focused program that engages with children aged 6-12 and their families in learning about sustainability through the lens of natural urban beekeeping and native plant gardening.
Growing Chefs: Cold Frame Covers
In this video we will learn about Growing Chefs! Ontario's cold frame covers for their newly built garden beds. Growing Chefs! Ontario provide more than 10,000 children, youth and families annually with hands-on culinary and gardening experiences, and by extending their growing season, they will be able to provide these learning opportunities year-round.
