On June 12th, 2024 the London Environmental Network (LEN) hosted its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Goodwill Industries. Keep reading to view our presentation slides and a photo gallery of the evening!
Thank you to all the Board of Directors, staff, committee members, LEN members, community partners, and supporters who joined us for a wonderful evening. We are delighted to share we had the highest membership attendance at any AGM since 2018!
AGM Highlights
In addition to the business voting portion of the meeting, our staff team shared highlights from our 2023 Impact Report. Some of our successes from this past year are:
- Completed 15 building walkthroughs & customized sustainability reports for Nonprofit Resiliency Project participants,
- Distributed $16,250 to 6 Green Economy London Leaders to support project implementation and achieving sustainability targets,
- Engaged with over 3,000 individuals at 33 outreach booths across the community,
- Awarded $13,000 to 13 homeowners who made sustainable upgrades under the London Green Retrofit Rebate program, and
- Strengthened our community partnerships through campaigns like London Clean & Green, London Cares Curb Hunger Campaign, and Green in the City.
To wrap up the evening, we heard from two LEN member organizations about their activities: Growing Chefs! Ontario and Thames Valley Trail Association. We love hearing from our network members and ways to get involved with them at our AGM each year. If you'd like to learn more about our membership of 40+ environmental groups in London, visit our membership directory here.
Special thanks to our event vendors: Creatively Carefree Photography, Goodwill Industries, and Identity Sound Entertainment.
Reflecting & Looking Ahead
This past year has been one of growth and impact at LEN, and it could not have been possible without our dedicated supporters and network members. Together, our impact is powerful and creates positive environmental change in London. Let's keep up the green work to make London one of the greenest and most resilient cities in Canada!
