Join Ellie, founder of LOLA Bees, at the beautiful apiary at the Museum of Ontario Archaeology for a sweet, hands-on morning with the bees! After a local honey tasting, participants will suit up and bee-come an urban beekeeper for the day.

Get ready to explore the magical world of bees up close – discover their fascinating biology, learn sustainable beekeeping practices, and reconnect with nature, community, and place in a whole new way. Participants will also explore the history of beekeeping and the evolving relationship between humans, insects, and the land, right on the grounds of the historic Lawson archaeological site!

This hands-on beekeeping workshop is best suited for ages 12 and up. Please note, there is a fee to sign up for this workshop.
