Wednesday August 4th 6-830 Talbot Wetlands, 3475 Settlement Trail

Caring for trees during their first few years is essential to the success of a naturalization project, and ReForest London needs your help!

As a Tree Aftercare Assistant, you'll help ensure the survival and health of our newly planted trees. This involves maintaining an optimal growing environment for them, as well as providing protection from harmful weeds and animal pests.

Our Tree Specialists will help you to identify the weeds that need to be removed around the trees, as well as identifying which grasses need to be covered in mulch around the trees so that they can retain moisture.

Events are typically 1.5-2 hours long on weeknights or Saturday mornings during summer months of July and August.

These events are available to anyone but due to COVID precautions we ask that you sign-up on our website here. We supply the mulch and gloves. We do Aftercare rain or shine, though we call a rain date if there is any lightning. Be sure to come ready for a fun evening of weeding and caring for our beloved trees outdoors, which means closed-toed shoes (hiking boots preferred), long pants, and a good bit of oomph!
