For several years, TREA has had a number of partnerships for its London Bicycle Festival, involving a variety of TREA and community events for cyclists of all ages, interests and skill levels. Over time, TREA has been involved as well with a number of community initiatives including the planning committee of the citywide InMotion Challenge, the startup of Car-Free Days in London, endorsement of a municipal Physical Activity Charter, the startup of the regional Active & Safe Routes to School program (2001), planning committees for two Share the Road Bike Summits, the organizing committee for a Middlesex-London Health Unit’s Healthy Active Communities Forum, and the spearheading of CAN-BIKE’s local cycling safety training programs.
