With volunteers and organizations not allowed in schools, social gathering limited, and restrictions in place around food preparation, school food champions in Ontario are doing what they can to figure out how to advance school food programming.
Sustain Ontario is hosting an online discussion for participants to connect and share ideas about how to continue to offer school food programs in Ontario, particularly food literacy education, in a time of COVID.
Join us on Tuesday, November 17, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. ET to hear how food literacy educators across Ontario are adapting their programs and trying to make it work:
- Elle Crevits, Parkdale Food Centre (Ottawa)
- Sunday Harrison, Green Thumbs Growing Kids (Toronto)
- Leila Mireskandari, Kids Growing City (GTA)
- Andrew Fleet, Growing Chefs! Ontario (London)
Meeting participants will then break out into groups to share ideas with each other about how to advance critical school food programs in this time.
