Join us on Monday, January 25, from 6-7:30 pm (EST) for Enspire's Speaker Series focusing on Sustainable Packaging, featuring Rachel Morier.

The live session will be dedicated to thinking and learning about sustainable packaging practices and discussing key topics via fireside chat such as: how to tackle packaging methods during the pandemic, how to balance old and new innovations, and future of packaging (cost reductions, bioplastics, climate change).

Enspire by Enactus Ryerson believes education is the first step to creating change. We want to teach students about relevant social, economic, and environmental issues in order to create fundamental impact on both a local and global scale. Our vision is to create a world where sustainability is no longer an option but the standard.

Our mission is to provide a collaborative environment where aspiring social entrepreneurs can receive education on local, niche problems, and create their own startups to implement sustainable solutions.

About the Speaker: Rachel Morier is the Director of Sustainability at The Beer Store where she is responsible for environmental stewardship to ensure that all alcoholic beverage containers are reused or recycled at the highest order. With over 14 years combined experience in sustainability, consulting and project management for packaging, Rachel worked for a global brand management company with Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods and retail clients, for a boutique consulting firm to develop a design guide for sustainable packaging, and for a North American not-for-profit industry association to identify sustainable solutions that lead to zero packaging and food waste prior to joining The Beer Store. Rachel holds a Master in Environmental Studies at York University with a Graduate Diploma in Business and the Environment from the Schulich School of Business.
