Out for the Count is back as our biannual BioBlitz fundraiser! Help us collect valuable species data while raising funds for nature and connecting with local natural areas! Everyone is welcome to participate, from complete beginners to seasoned experts.
Last year's Out for the Count was a huge success, with our registered teams raising a total of $2900 and observing over 1000 species. This year, we've upped the ante with a new goal of $8000, and an observation goal of 1500 species!
What is a BioBlitz?
A BioBlitz is a community-driven science project that aims to record as many species as possible in a given place, usually within a single day - think of it as creating a snapshot of biodiversity. Out for the Count is the BioBlitz event that we hold here at TTLT. It's a great way to connect with nature and engage in community-science by collecting important and useful data. This data helps us assess the health of habitats and figure out the best way to steward the nature reserves under our care.
Donations made toward our Out for the Count: BioBlitz Fundraiser goes towards countless conservation efforts, including the restoration and protection of environmentally significant lands, specifically the nature reserves that we care for and conserve.
