London recently became certified by Nature Canada as one of the first Bird Friendly Cities in the country! To celebrate, the London Brewing Co-op has created a City Bird Beer (the Northern Cardin-Ale) based on the species selected by the community to represent our city. Come find out what flavours are featured to represent our City Bird, the Cardinal.
Please join us to raise a glass to helping make our community safer for our feathered friends and to hear more about what London's Bird Team has been working on over the past year.

About the Beer, Bird and Art Collaboration - Excerpt from the London Free Press:
"Meanwhile, inspired by London artist Beth Stewart, the northern cardinal, and Bird Friendly London, there’s a brand new beer in the works for release later this year.
“When we received her submission for the tour collaboration, we knew it would be special on its own as a perfect fit for this project with BFL,” Stewart said. “The label features a male northern cardinal, which was recently designated as London’s official bird.”
The recipe is under development by head brewer Aaron Lawrence. Will it be red in tribute to the male cardinal? Feature a berry or grain a cardinal might find tasty? My crystal ball predicts cranberries are in play.
“We often connect with environmentalists and others in related passions, through our ongoing sustainability efforts at the brewery,” Stewart said.
“Our shared interests, in this case, lead us to connect with Bird Friendly London and the London Environmental Network. LEN drives a broad range of environmental education and initiatives and Bird Friendly London is obviously more specific to actions and awareness around bird populations.”
When you notice black dots on windows and doors around the city, think of this beer. Fundraising from its sales will help Bird Friendly London with endeavours like this."
