Project Category: Enhancing Waterways

Project Description:

Urban Roots London is a non-profit organization that revitalizes underused land in the City of London for agricultural purposes. Urban Roots’ Norlan Ave site includes wetlands that have been overtaken by invasive species, such as phragmites and buckthorn. Because of this, Urban Roots London plans to conduct a herbicide-free trial to manage invasive phragmites with tarping in partnership with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority.
