November 23rd, 4:00-8:00pm at East London Library, 2016 Dundas Street.

Theme: Learning about Zero Waste and Co-Hosting a Repair Café with Reimagine Co! (from 6:00 – 8:00pm)

Join us at the East London Library to learn all about zero waste tips and how you can improve your day-to-day waste reduction at home! And from 6-8pm bring your small appliance, clothing, or other item that needs fixing, and have it repaired for free while you sit with your fixer and learn repair skills.

Maybe your microwave stopped working, a sentimental toy is broken, or there is a hole in your favourite pair of jeans. Many items can be repaired to keep them from being sent to the landfill.

Visit this free event to learn about reducing waste at home and bring your small items that need fixing. Experts will be at the event to help you repair them. Some of the items that have been repaired at past events include toaster ovens, curling irons, clocks, lamps, purses, coats, chairs, and radios.

Reducing the amount of waste that is sent to the landfill is an important part of London’s Climate Emergency Action Plan and supports sustainability.

Before attending this event, please also register through the Repair Café at East London Library Branch Registration to notify what item you would like to bring and be paired with a "fixer"!
