Important Reminders

  • Safety first - do what you can, at the pace you like
  • We will be collecting litter and debris that is harmful to wildlife and water quality. In the past we have encountered items such as plastic bags, cigarette butts, masks, cans, clothing - you may be surprised what you’ll find!
  • The clean up location includes grassy and wooded areas, hills and embankments along the river, and walking paths. Please only clean up in areas you are comfortable doing so.
  • In some cases you may encounter people living rough or urban camps, please be respectful, steer clear and do not enter their space.
  • It is common during clean ups to encounter broken glass, needles and other related items, please do not handle these items unless you are trained or feel comfortable doing so. There will be a hazardous materials disposal bin available.
