Cigarette butts account for 1 in 5 pieces of litter - help reduce this statistic by cleaning up your community!

Join London Environmental Network and Sarnia Sustainability Ambassadors on Saturday, August 13th for a community Butt Blitz event to remove cigarette butts from the environment. We will be meeting at Reimagine Co and cleaning up in the downtown core.

We hope to prevent future littering by raising awareness and educating communities of the negative impacts that cigarette butt litter has on ecosystems and health.

All cigarette butt material will be collected, and sent to Terracycle Canada to be recycled and repurposed - keeping it out of our ecosystems and providing a second life.

Litter pickers and gloves will be provided. Please bring an up-cycled container to collect butts in (e.g., yogurt tub, coffee tin, etc.)!
