When October 19, 2024 at 9:30am 2 hrs 30 mins
Where Charles Hunt Park

Join the Antler River Rally for their next cleanup on October 19th, 9:30 am to noon, at Charles Hunt Park.

We'll meet in Charles Hunt Park at the bench on the south side of the river.  We will clean up the both sides of the river and a bit of Richard B. Harrison Park.

We'll provide garbage bags and gloves (we also have a few garbage grabbers). Apart from weather appropriate clothing we recommend you wear long pants, sturdy boots or hiking shoes and bring a bottle of drinking water.

Families are welcome, however parents must be responsible for their children at all times.

As there as been an increase in people camping rough along the river, we encourage you to read our our COMMUNITY page that details ARR's respectful and safe approach.

Also, join us on Saturday, November 9th, at 9 am for a river cleanup with Antler River Rally (location to be determined) and a celebration of the “Sheltering as Radical Care” project.

Following the cleanup at 11 am, participants are invited to gather under the “sheltering” artwork, listen to a welcoming from Ryan Joseph, the Cultural Support Coordinator for Atlohsa's Giiwetashekad Program, and share some light refreshments. In this project, Michelle Wilson and Mikaila Stevens have partnered with Indwell, ARR, and Embassy Cultural House to create a gathering shelter using reclaimed plastic collected during river cleanups. Through this project, Michelle and Mikaila built meaningful connections with Indwell tenants, which resulted in this beautiful collaborative work of art. We would like to acknowledge @embassyculturalhouse, @indwell.ca, @doughev, and the @ontarioartscouncil for their generous funding and unwavering support throughout this project. Thank you for making this all possible!

See you at the river!
