With the summer season nearly upon us, we are dreaming of dishes with fresh, sustainably sourced asparagus, snacking on juicy strawberries, peaches and cherries, and topping our salads with colourful cucumbers, field grown tomatoes and peppers. Maybe you’ve decided to grow some of your own food this summer or you have your favourite farms you make the rounds to on a yearly basis. Or maybe, you’re new to the city and are looking for the best spots to stock up on locally grown produce. Either way, this guide is meant to help you find all the best spots in  Middlesex - London.

Eating local food is great for the environment because the food does not have to travel as far to arrive on your plate, therefore reducing greenhouse gas emissions and it encourages sustainable agriculture and facilitates tracing the supply chain back to its origin. You can learn more about the environmental impacts of local food here.
