Rise For Climate, Jobs & Justice

On September 8, thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.

Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action.

After a productive planning meeting yesterday, the form the event will be taking is as follows;

The event will take place as a rally at the Richmond & Central gates of the park.

We've managed to get a diverse and wonderful set of speakers lined up.

Then we will raise our voices to celebrate the Trans Mountain decision handed down yesterday. We know this is not the end of the fight, but it is definitely something to celebrate and we will be raising our voices to do just that.

Bring some pots and pans and noisemakers to add to the rising chorus of voices echoing around the world to show our leaders that we are not going away.

We will be singing and chanting and banging our posts and pans to make sure the whole downtown can hear us!

We are also hoping that London's own Rhythm of Resistance percussion group will be there.

Please continue to share and if you'd like to print some posters, let me know - I'll send you the file and we can paper the city to get as many people involved as we can!

It's going to be fun & it's going to be powerful - see you there!
