Nature in the City: Groundhog Day: The History, Culture, and Biology of Hibernation

Western University’s Alan MacEachern of the History Department and Jim Staples of the Biology Department will talk about the folklore and fact of groundhogs and other hibernators. Come and find out what makes Wiarton Willie and Punxsutawney Phil tick and hear all about their biology

There is no charge for this event. Seating is limited. People are seated on a first come, first served basis. Families are welcome! The mission of Nature in the City is to contribute to the preservation and enjoyment of nature Let’s do this together by sharing information and stimulating an interest in the natural world around us.
