After 6 years of service, we are saying farewell to our Executive Director, Marianne Griffith, as she moves on to pursue her entrepreneurial passion, develop skills in the private sector and focus on her family.
Marianne has served LEN in developing Green Economy London, Greener Homes London, and the Deshkan Ziibiing Resiliency Partnership programs. She was instrumental in conceptualizing and fundraising for the Residential Rain Garden Program and the Nonprofit Resiliency Project and brought a passion for green building science to the team. Marianne loved building collaborations across community sectors and supporting equity-deserving groups through innovative approaches and strategic program development.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated team. I was given the platform to dream and turn ideas into reality because of the LEN staff and Board of Directors' support, organization and dedication to having an impact.
I’ve also been so inspired by the actions of the LEN and GEL members and their commitment to sustainability, food security, biodiversity protection, waste reduction, water conservation and emission reduction. The network has grown and strengthened and I am confident that it will continue to be a beacon of hope for our community in the years to come.”, Marianne reflects on her time with LEN.
During this transitional period, our Director of Operations, Leah Derikx, will serve as Interim Executive Director. Leah’s strengths in operations, finance, and human resources will keep the LEN team and mission on track while LEN searches for our new Executive Director.
We are currently accepting applications for the Executive Director position. We are seeking someone with nonprofit leadership experience, proven fundraising success, and a keen interest in staff and program development and strategic planning. Interested applicants can view the job posting here and apply by March 31, 2025.
We’d like to thank Marianne for her time, energy and impact-driven work over the last 6+ years and wish her all the best in her new ventures!
