Eagle-Eyed! Learn to Spot Riverside Birds Walk

When: Saturday, June 1, 9am-11:30am (rain date June 2 at 9am)

Where: Komoka Provincial Park (503 Gideon Drive, London)

Join Canadian Freshwater Alliance for a beginner birding walk along the Thames River and learn the basics of birding with the charismatic Gregor Beck, Senior Conservation Advisor at Bird Studies Canada. Gregor will also point out any interesting reptiles we may spot while on the walk. The event will take place on June 1 st to allow us to see any late migrants that might still be passing through the area, as well as hearing the songs of the local breeding birds. Bring your binoculars if you have them, we will also have extras that you can borrow at the event.

To participate in this event, please know that you will need a basic level of fitness, as we will be walking, with frequent stops. Participants must be 10 years of age or older and participants under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

This event is geared towards absolute beginners...so if you're already an expert, please share with friends and family, and get them hooked as well!

Event registration is free, but due to limited space on this trip, all wishing to participate must register in advance.
