Project Description:
Indwell is a Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness, and belonging. Most Indwell tenants do not have cars; public transportation, bicycles, and walking are their main modes of transportation. The Indwell Bike Share Program, in collaboration with Climate Action London, aims to provide bikes, infrastructure, and cycling gear for tenants at Woodfield Gate. The bikes will provide low carbon transportation options and outdoor activity possibilities for the tenants, as well as support relationship building between staff and tenants. This pilot project is a great model that could be applied to other residential buildings and rentals in London to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation.
