Mission

Fanshawe supports the stewardship of the environment both on and off our campuses. Our approach to sustainability is about more than reducing waste and energy consumption (though that’s important, too!). We are committed to advancing practices and policies that address the three pillars of sustainability – environmental, social and economic – to help the College become both an agent of change for the community and a better place, now and in the future.

Organizational Objectives

Through the Sustainability Action Plan, Fanshawe aims to establish sustainability as a priority for the College, integrating sustainable practices throughout the organization, instilling a sense of responsibility for employees, promoting sustainable practices, processes and behaviours, and leading a sustainable operations model. Fanshawe is committed to devising sustainable development initiatives that promote positive social and environmental impacts in Southwestern Ontario, and to working with external communities to promote sustainability by developing strategic partnerships and increasing social, economic, and environmental outcomes locally
