Bird Friendly London and Antler River Rally are co-hosting a cleanup event at Fanshawe Conservation Area dedicated to removing fishing gear (e.g., monofilament) that accumulates in spots where people fish, especially near the dam. Fishing gear represents one of the most dangerous types of plastic pollution for wildlife.
The event will be held on Saturday June 11 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Meeting spot is at Fanshawe Conservation Area in the parking lot. Participants will receive complimentary admission to the Conservation Area for the day. We recommend planning to stick around afterwards to explore the beautiful trail system!
