Canadians know that the scale of the climate crisis demands rapid, transformative action. From announcements about new government strategies and policies to calls from experts and advocates for further action, there's a lot of information coming at us. Keeping track of the big picture can feel like a policy maze.
So where does Canada stand in terms of environmental progress? How well are we doing at tackling and preparing for the impacts of climate change? Where are we on the clean energy transition and in catalyzing Indigenous leadership and ownership as we decarbonize?
Focusing on the federal level, our independent panel will take a step back and take stock of where we are at on some of our pressing environmental issues. They’ll share their views on the big priorities for progress and how we get past barriers to action. And they’ll answer some of your questions.
We’ll cover what we can in an hour, but it’s a big topic so we plan to make this a multi-part series that examines Canada’s environmental progress and priorities from different angles. Sign up to learn about our future events.
