What is the Environmental Action Incubator program?
The London Environmental Network's (LEN) Environmental Action Incubator program supports community projects that demonstrate a positive impact on the local environment. Each project receives up to $1,000 in funding and promotional support to bring their project to life!
What types of projects are accepted?
We are looking to support projects that have high feasibility, environmental benefits and impact, and community engagement opportunities for the London community. Examples of projects that we are looking to support include:
- Bike rack installation
- EV charger installation
- Community cycling event and engagement program
- Litter clean up event(s)
- Repair workshop
- Community composting depot and education program
- Rain and/or pollinator gardens
- Urban agriculture and edible food forests
- Water health event(s)

Particular interest will be given to projects that are led by and/or benefit underserved communities, including but not limited to BIPOC communities, newcomers to Canada, LGBTQA+ communities, and persons with disabilities.
Who is eligible to apply?
This year, we are only accepting projects run by LEN Members. Other community groups, individuals and/or businesses are not eligible to apply.
When do projects need to be completed?
Projects must be implemented between July 2024 to June 2025.
When is the deadline?
The deadline to submit your project for consideration is June 28th, 2024 at 11:59PM.
What happens after I apply?
Applications will be reviewed and selected projects will be contacted in early July. Unsuccessful projects will be contacted soon after and we will direct you to alternative funding opportunities as best we can.
