Calling all environmental enthusiasts, Green Drinks is back this March! The London Environmental Network will be hosting our next event at The Pickle Social Club on Thursday March 15th, from 6:00-9:00pm. Thank you for everyone who came out to the first Green Drinks of 2018 in January - it was a lot of fun, and we hope to see you all in March!

The LEN member feature speaker this month will be Michelle Kanter from Carolinian Canada Coalition, a leading ecoregional environmental group that is working to advance a collaborative conservation strategy for healthy ecosystems in Ontario’s Carolinian Life Zone.

Michelle has held the position of Executive Director of the Carolinian Canada Coalition since 2003 and has been involved with the Go Wild Grow Wild Green Expo, taking place on April 7th, since its inception. We are excited for Michelle to share what to expect at the Go Wild Grow Wild Green Expo, as well as provide a deeper look at the work the Carolinian Canada Coalition does to preserve, protect and restore the vibrant Carolinian Zone region that stretches across southwestern Ontario.

We hope you can join us to chat with like-minded neighbours, learn more about such an incredible local environmental organization, and connect with other people interested in growing a healthier, more sustainable city!

Starting this month, there will be a $5 charge to attend Green Drinks for all working professionals. The proceeds of this fee will go towards the London Environmental Network so we can continue to provide ever-evolving opportunities for networking, collaboration, training, and empowerment for both LEN member, as well as for general community members with a passion for environmentalism, sustainability, and positive action. Green Drinks remains free for students. If you are not a student, but are unable to pay the fee, we encourage you to contact Skylar at [email protected] for alternative ticket options.

The purchase of a ticket will automatically enter your name into a raffle for a chance to win 1 of 2 amazing door prizes, graciously donated by various local businesses. We will also have 3 wonderful raffle prizes. Tickets for the raffle will be on sale during the event. We will announce both the door and raffle prizes in the weeks leading up to the event on social media, so make sure to follow LEN on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to find out what you could win! Trust us, you’ll want your name in these raffles!

Please use active transportation to attend the event if possible – there is a bike rack available and
bus stops located directly outside of the venue.
