Thank you to everyone who has funded and shared our Give the Gift of Green campaign so far– we are so grateful for your support!

We’ve already raised $1,080 which is 54% of our total goal!

We need your help to raise $2,000 by December 31st to offer 25 Home Checkups to households experiencing energy poverty through our Greener Homes London program. Greener Homes London supports Londoners with reducing their household emissions, saving on energy costs, and making their homes more environmentally friendly through Home Checkups and EnerGuide audits (coming soon!). An $80 donation would fund a one-hour Home Checkup, where our staff coach local residents on how to implement household sustainability projects through our program.

Nearly 3 million Canadian households struggle to pay their heating and electricity bills every month. We’re working with local nonprofit partners to reduce financial barriers and ensure that everyone has access to affordable energy in their neighbourhood. Residents that pay more than 6% after taxes on energy costs are considered to have a high energy burden. You can see where in London that occurs using this mapping tool.

By donating this holiday season, you’re helping residents in London reduce their emissions and monthly energy costs through energy subsidies and retrofit rebates. In case you missed it, the London Environmental Network is now a registered charity! This means all of your donations will now earn a charitable tax receipt to save you money at tax time! Every donor will receive a pack of native plant seeds, a personalized thank you card, and an entry into a draw for a gift certificate!

Want to double your impact? Head over to Finch Match My Donation, where you can submit a simple form with proof of your donation and get your contribution matched!

We’d also like to thank everyone who has donated so far! Your donation supports our work to make London one of Canada’s greenest and most resilient cities.

We look forward to continuing our work in the community to take local environmental action in the New Year. Stay safe and have a happy holiday season!
