The City Nature Challenge (CNC) is an international effort for people to find and document plants, animals and fungi in cities across the globe. It’s a Bioblitz-style competition where cities are in a friendly contest with each other to see who can make the most observations of nature. Species occurrence data collected through the City Nature Challenge helps scientists and planners to keep track of rare species and their habitat, so they can be better protected in the future.

​London first participated in the City Nature Challenge in 2023, and placed 2nd in Ontario with 3797 observations! Come out and help us get even more observations this year!
