Mission

Transition London Ontario’s (TLO) mission is two-fold:

  1. To explore and then follow pathways of practical actions that will reduce our carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, while enhancing our quality of life.
  2. To build the city’s resilience, that is, its ability to withstand shocks from the combined effects of peak oil and climate change, through being more self-reliant in areas such as food, energy, health care, jobs and economics.

Organizational Objectives

TLO is a volunteer-driven, non-profit, grassroots organization. It functions by bringing ordinary citizens together to work toward positive change. TLO is shaped and guided by all who are able to participate, in whatever capacity they can, in making life in this city more abundant, fulfilling, equitable and socially connected.
