LEN is seeking volunteers to help sort and stack plant pots that were dropped off at the Heeman's recycling event.
When: September 13th - 15th between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM
Where: Heeman's 20422 Nissouri Rd, London, ON N0M 2P0
After an overwhelming amount of support from the community at the Heeman's Recycling event, we are seeking volunteers to help sort and stack the plastics that were dropped off to us.
Please note: Pot drop off is now CLOSED, this volunteer opportunity is for sorting and stacking what we received during the public drop off in early September
What to bring/ wear: This event will happen rain or shine. Reusable gloves, water bottle, and dress for the weather.
Getting there: Nissouri Road at Dundas Street is closed due to bridge construction. If you’re coming from Dundas, detour to the East of Heeman’s via Fairview Road to Evelyn Drive, or to West via Veterans Memorial Parkway to Robin’s Hill Road. See how to get there during construction.
Food: As a thank you, volunteers will receive a LEN voucher for the Berry Beanery eligible for one beverage and one snack up to $10 (menu here). There is also Food Trucks on the Farm happening if you would like to purchase food, LEN vouchers not eligible for food trucks.
