March 23rd, 4:00-7:00pm at Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre, 656 Elizabeth St, London, ON N5Y 6L3

Theme: How to get ready for London’s Green Bin Program!

Join us to discuss the upcoming Green Bin program, what materials can be placed inside, and how the material will be collected. When the Green Bin program starts in late 2023, there will also be changes to the collection frequency of garbage.

Learn how to save money, avoid wasting food, and live a greener and more sustainable life. Food scraps represent about one third of the materials placed in the garbage, and wasted food contributes to climate change. Attendees can also learn about environmental volunteering opportunities in the community and how to make green changes to your apartments and home.

Drop in between 4-7pm, with a presentation starting at 5:30pm.

Visitors will have the chance to enter to win a rain barrel and three day emergency preparedness kit!
